Thomas Predmore
Thomas D. Predmore, age 88 of York, NE, died Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in York. Tom was born on February 2, 1933 to Vernon and Margaret (Schlientz) Predmore in Broken Bow, NE. On April 25, 1952, he was united in marriage to Donna Ranieri in Scribner, NE.
Tom was a grower/florist and the owner of Predmore York Greenhouses. He was a longtime member of the Faith Lutheran Church in York. Tom was a former cowboy and started a 4-H club in Pleasant Hill, MO with his wife Donna. He was also a member of the York Lions Club and enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center, watching sports and playing cards. Tom volunteered at Wessels Living History Farm south of York and started the orchard on their grounds.
He is survived by his daughters Kim (Jay) Norris of Aledo, TX, Laurel (Mark) Meier of Lincoln, NE, Kelly (Mike) Madcharo of Lincoln, NE, his sons Corby Predmore of Olathe, KS and Blaine (Kristine) Predmore of Fort Mills, South Carolina, twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Bill Predmore of Laverne, MN, and Larry Predmore of Buffalo, MO, his sister Peggy Mathiason of Pendelton, OR, and his sister-in-law Phyllis Predmore of North Platte, NE.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one brother Charles Predmore.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Ben Fransisco officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in York. Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary with his family greeting friends from 6-7:30 p.m that same evening. Tom's family encourages those attending the funeral to wear a mask if not vaccinated. Memorials may be directed to Wessels Living History Farm York or to the York Senior Center.
