Thomas M. Bailey
Thomas M. Bailey, 60 of McCool Junction, NE, died Monday, May 17, 2004 in Lincoln. He was born January 8, 1944 in York to Claude and Evelyn (Young) Bailey. Tom was a 1962 graduate of McCool High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 68. He married Patsy Arbuck on May 10, 1964 in York. Tom farmed with his dad and brother, Gene for many years. January 20th of 2004 marked Tom's 40th year of auctioneering and 30 plus years of real estate service in Nebraska. He was current owner of Bailey and Associates Reality and Auction. He was a member of the McCool American Legion Ronald Porter Post #341, 40 and 8, and the York Elks Lodge #1024.
He is survived by his wife Patsy of McCool Jct.; sons, Shawn (Holly) Bailey of Henderson, NE and Shane Bailey of Lincoln; 3 grandchildren, Allison, Ashley and Kyle Thomas Bailey; father and mother-in-law Russell and Greta Arbuck of McCool Jct.; nephews, Tim (Rebecca) Bailey of McCool Jct., Terry (Sally) Bailey and Kyle (Patricia) Bailey both of York.
Preceding him in death were his parents: brothers, Gerald Bailey, Gene and his wife Linda (Young) Bailey.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, at the First United Methodist Church in York. Burial with military rites will be in the Holoch Cemetery east of McCool Jct. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at Metz Mortuary in York. Memorials in care of the family.
