Sara Lynn Pettey
Sara Lynn Pettey, died at the age of 46, the evening of July 21, 2023 at the Monarch Hospice Home in Lincoln, after a struggle with many health issues.
Sara was born on December 31, 1976 in York, NE and grew up on the family farm in Bradshaw. She had a beloved cat Stormy, that lived to be 23 yrs. old, she found as a stray on the family farm, and went every time she moved to a new apartment.
Sara lived in David City, at Sunshine Court for several years. She worked at many different retail stores, as a sales clerk, and inventory stocker. She also earned an online college degree, as a pharmacy tech.
Sara was preceded in death by her father Robert Pettey and mother Sandra (Sebree) of York.
Sara is survived by her aunt Carol Thieszen of Lincoln, aunt Barbara Budler (Tom) of Grand Island, uncle Darrel Sebree (Louise) of Lincoln, many cousins, step mother Martha Pettey of York, and step brother Charles Bitker (Betsy) of Lincoln.
There will be a simple inurnment service of her ashes at Greenwood Cemetery in York, at a future date. Memorials in her memory may be given to an animal rescue of your choice.
