Ruth Jean Bolton
Ruth Jean Bolton, age 100 of York, NE, died October 31, 2021 at York. She was born on April 24, 1921 to Floyd and Helen (Winfield) Bolton in Thayer. Ruth graduated from Thayer High School and went on to graduate from Wesleyan University. She was an elementary school teacher in several states and was then a civilian employee of the US Air Force in the Philippines, Japan and England while teaching. She traveled to 25 other countries during her lifetime.
She is survived by her cousins and many friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery, York. Jean has been cremated. There will be no visitation or viewing. Memorials may be directed to York Adopt-A-Pet.
