Peggy Friesen

Peggy Diane Friesen, age 69, of Henderson died on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Lincoln, NE. She was born on September 22, 1951 in York, NE to Forrest E. and Wilmadean M. (Landis) Bowman. On May 23, 1970, Peggy was united in marriage to Ken L. Friesen at Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson.
 
Peggy had worked at Henderson HealthCare as the activities director, where she started an aviary and had previously worked for BonaVilla Homes in Aurora, NE. She was a member of Bethesda Mennonite Church and taught Sunday school. You could always find Peggy in the kitchen cooking or baking. She was famous for her cakes, cinnamon rolls, and just about anything else she could make. If she wasn't in the kitchen, you could find her watching westerns with her husband. Peggy's favorite thing to do was spend time with any of her five grandchildren. Peggy was a selfless, hardworking person and was the most wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. 
 
She is survived by her husband Ken L. Friesen of Henderson, daughter Stacy Friesen of Geneva, son Brian (Cori) Friesen of York, grandchildren: Hadley Wiemer, Dillon Eaton, Wyatt Friesen, Jax Friesen, and Brixlee Friesen. She is also survived by her brothers Robert (Judy) Bowman of Bradshaw and Butch (Barb) Bowman of Benedict, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Linda Quiring, brother Larry Bowman Sr. and sister Sherie Crow. 
 
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday, April 19, 2021 at Bethesda Mennonite Church, Henderson. Burial will follow in the Bethesda Cemetery, Henderson. Visitation will be held from 1-9 pm on Sunday, with family greeting friends from 7-9 pm that evening, all at the mortuary in Henderson.  Memorials may be directed to the family.
