Norma J. DeBoer
Norma J. DeBoer, age 88 of York, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017 at York.
She was born March 30, 1928 to Fred and Helen (Preston) Schneider in York. Norma was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and served as a member of the Alter Society and was treasurer for many years. Norma was an avid book reader and enjoyed playing bridge. On Feb. 2, 1948 she was married to Francis “Bus” L. DeBoer in York.
She is survived by her son, James (Cindy) DeBoer of Waco; grandson, Michael (Jessica) DeBoer of Missouri; granddaughters, Brandi (Chad) Conkling of Osceola; Janelle, Kristine and Nicole all of Omaha; six great granddaughters; brother, Jim Schneider of California and several nieces and nephews as well as special friends Kay and Dan Malleck and family of York.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday Jan. 13, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Monsignor Reinert officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, York. A Rosary will be said a half hour prior to the Mass at 10:30 a.m. No visitation. Memorials may be directed to Tabitha Hospice or to the family.
