Mildred K. Beins
Mildred K. Beins, age 96 of York, NE died Monday, February 24, 2014 at York. She was born September 2, 1917 in Lincoln, NE to George and Katherine (Engel) Lofink. She graduated Lincoln High School in 1936 and then attended Lincoln School of Commerce. On August 22, 1942 she was married to Russell Rae Beins at Kansas City, MO.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in York, Daughter of the Nile, York China Painters, Rebekah Circle and was a past member of the York DOES.
She is survived by her sons James (Sheri) Beins of York and Edward (Rita) Beins of Lincoln, NE; daughters Susan (LaVerne) Hansel of St. Paul, NE, Frances (Robert) Brauer of Seward, and Margaret (Tom) Lonowski of York; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; half-sister Myra (Sam) Johnson of Chandler, AZ; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, one brother, and an infant great-grandson.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Metz Chapel with the Reverend Mike Neidow officiating. Burial will follow at the Aurora Cemetery, Aurora, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Shriners Hospital for Children or to the family for later designation. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m., Wednesday at the mortuary.
