Michael Rhoades
Michael Gene Rhoades, age 60 of York, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 in York.
He was born on July 1, 1957 to Ralph E. and Dorene (Beckfield) Rhoades at Stromsburg. Michael had previously worked for Kroy Industries, Epworth Village, and had done construction work. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, gaming, playing cards, and the “Huskers.”
He is survived by two brothers, David (Jodi) Rhoades of Rock Springs, Wyo. and Richard Rhoades of Avon, Colo.; two sisters, Diane (Doug) Dauel of York and Miriam (Pat) DeBoer of York; and nephews, Eric Rhoades of Rock Springs, Wyo., A.J. Rhoades of Greeley, Colo., Devin Dauel and girlfriend Shabella Renaud of Dallas, Texas, Derek Dauel of York, Jim DeBoer of Omaha and Jake DeBoer and fiancé Randi Walters of Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will greet friends at Metz Mortuary from 6:30 -8 p.m., Wednesday evening, Jan. 17, 2018. Private family services at a later date. Cremation. Memorials may be directed to York General Dialysis.
