Margaret "Maggie" Williamsen
Margaret (Maggie) R Williamsen, age 82 of York, NE, formerly Osceola, NE went to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 28, 2019 surrounded by her family. Margaret was born December 6, 1936 in Columbus, NE to Carl and Rose (Roerich) Scholz. She graduated from Shelby High School in 1954. She married Burdette Williams at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelby in 1955. They welcomed one son, Bryan Williams.
Maggie enjoyed playing Bingo, cards, and having visitors any day of the week. Spending time with family brought her the most joy. She also enjoyed cooking, going to her grandson’s ball games, and visiting with her many friends. Her three great grandchildren were her pride and joy, cherishing the moments she spent with them. She had a very witty humor having never met a stranger.
Maggie spent many years as a registered CNA, cleaning houses, and various cooking jobs. She loved all her customers when she worked at Subway.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Bryan (Deb) Williams of York, two grandsons Dustin (Lyndsay) Williams and Andrew (Megan) Williams, three great grandchildren: Kadin, Spencer, and Jordan, one sister Janice (Scholz) Bonsack, one brother Jerome (MaryAlice) Scholz, of Shelby, NE and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Burdette, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 3rd, 2019 at the First Christian Church in York with the Reverend Penny Schulz officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in York. Visitation will be from 1-8:00 p.m., Thursday with her family greeting friends later that evening from 6-7:30 p.m., at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
