Vicki L. Burgeson

Margaret A. Burgeson, 90, of York, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at York.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, at the Wilcox Cemetery, in Wilcox followed by memorial services at the Wilcox Community Church at 2 p.m. There will be no public viewing or visitation. There will be a memorial service on Saturday at 10 a.m., at the York General Hearthstone in York.

She was born Dec. 17, 1919, at Holdrege, to Charles and Ella (Carlson) Berggren. She graduated from Wilcox High School in 1938. Margaret and Everett L. Burgeson were united in marriage on Sept. 4, 1938, at Phillipsburg, Kan. To this union three daughters, Coleene, DeLane and Vicki, were born. Margaret devoted her life to taking care of her family. She was a member of the Berean Church and enjoyed painting, woodcarving and sewing. She loved spending time with her family and her pets. The spiritual well being of her family was very important and she was faithful in praying for them.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Coleene (Virgil) Gellermann, of Columbus, DeLane (Daryl) Nyberg and Vicki Burgeson, of York; five grandchildren, Lynn Gellermann, of Athens, Ohio, Chris (Diane) Gellermann, of Edgewater, Fla., Lori (Doug) Eisenhauer, of Norfolk, Jeff (Trisha) Nyberg, of Olathe, Kan., and Carla (Todd) Wilson, of Lincoln. Margaret is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, one sister and one grandson.
Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association, York's Adopt-A-Pet, The National Kidney Foundation, or the Right-to-Life Campaign.
