Luella A. Apetz
Luella A. Apetz, age 100, of York, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 at York. She was born Jan. 31, 1914 at rural Waco, to Carl and Bertha (Stahr) Stuhr.
She was united in marriage to Paul Knorr in 1935 and later married Alvin Apetz on Nov. 30, 1973. Luella was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York, LWML and enjoyed ceramics.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin of York; brother, Leo Stuhr of York, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Luella was preceded in death by her parents; two infant sons and first husband Paul.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. at St. John Cemetery in Waco. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-9 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. at the mortuary, with the family greeting friends Friday evening from 6:30 - 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to LWML or the family for later designation.
