Lori Dee Peterson, age 62, of York, NE died Tuesday, April 2, 2019 in York, NE. She was born November 3, 1956 in York to Matthew H. “Bud” and Delores R. (Luebbe) Peterson. Lori was a 1976 graduate of Benedict High School, and worked at the York General Hospital Cafeteria for over 40 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in York, and the Red Hats. Lori loved all animals and enjoyed volunteering at York Adopt-A-Pet. She loved her family, country music, garage sales, antiquing, concerts and the state fair.
She is survived by her brother Dennis Peterson of York, aunts Beverly Jacobsen of Fairmont, Betty Thompson of Willis, TX, and Doris (Wendell) Dahl of Crow’s Nest, Australia, along with many cousins and good friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, infant twin sister Laura Bernice, uncles Francis and Tommie, and aunts Lois and Bernice.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Metz Chapel, York, with the Reverend Art Phillips officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, April 5, with Lori’s family greeting friends from 6:30 – 7:30 PM that evening at the mortuary in York. Private family inurnment at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery, York. Memorials may be directed to her family for later designation.
