Lois Hoeft
Lois A. Hoeft age 77 of York, NE died Thursday, February 14, 2019 at York. She was born November 22, 1941 in York to Robert and Sylvia (Bulgrin) Mozer and was a longtime member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York. Lois graduated from York High School in 1959 and was then married to Maynard “Noots” Hoeft on June 3, 1961 in York. She was a seamstress in the York area for many years and loved attending Wednesday morning Bible Study and Thursday morning chapel services at the Hearthstone. Having coffee with her friends at McDonald’s was a special treat for her.
She is survived by her daughters; Jean (Kevin) Edwards of Omaha, NE and Nancy Davis and special friend Sean Burns of Phoenix, AZ. Grandson Jeremy Edwards of Minneapolis, MN, sister Marion (Richard) Theobald of Geneva, NE, Step-sisters include Carol (Alan) Johnson and step-brother Robert (Kaye) Whitmore all of Sioux Falls, S.D. Nephews; Scott (Nancy) Theobald of Omaha, NE and Kent (Rose) Theobald of Fairmont, NE, and niece Karla Hoff of Lincoln, NE.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and step-father Leo B. Whitmore.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 15, 2019 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York. Due to construction in the sanctuary, services will be held in the fellowship hall. Inurnment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery, York. Lois has been cremated so there will be no viewing however her family will greet friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday evening at the mortuary in York. Memorials may be directed to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society or to the donor’s favorite charity.
