Johnnie Coon
Johnnie W. Coon, age 62 of Gresham, NE died Friday, December 3, 2021 at Seward, NE. He was born October 17, 1959 to Leland and Lottie (Barton) Coon in Seward. On March 9, 1987, he was united in marriage to Polly Cain in Utica, NE.
Johnnie was a mechanic and loved cars. He also loved music and playing guitar, landscaping, and loved his dogs Shilo and Lilly.
He is survived by his wife Polly of Gresham, son Jessie Coon (Megan Romero) of York, daughter Alexandrea (Shane Burchfield) Coon of Gresham, brothers Leland (Janet) Coon of Seward and George (Susan) Coon of Belle Vista, AR, sister Carol Mueller of Lincoln, NE, and brother-in-law Tony Cain of Gresham. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bob.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Gresham Presbyterian Church with the Reverend John Nellessen officiating. Inurnment will follow in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Gresham. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Johnnie has been cremated, no viewing. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
