Frances Irene Myer
Frances Irene Myer, age 95, of York, NE, died Thursday, April 15, 2021 in Lincoln, NE. She was born November 13, 1925 in York, NE to William B. and Edith (Holm) Mohler. Frances was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in York, and worked as a Deputy County Assessor for York County. On April 7, 1944, Frances was united in marriage to Perry H. Myer in San Diego, California.
Frances was a member of the United Methodist Women, she taught Bible Study, and also belonged to the Christian Women’s Club of York. She loved to sing, and especially enjoyed spending time around her family and extended family.
Frances is survived by her son Philip (Sally) Myer of Phillipsburg, KS, daughters Marsha (Bill) Dick of Lincoln, NE, Linda (Larry) Leaming of Estes Park, CO, and Allison (Roger) Gast of Zionsville, IN. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter and a grandson.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 23, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church in York with the Reverend Tony Dawson officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in York. There will be no viewing or visitation as it was Frances’s wishes to be cremated. Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army.
