Elvera Huebert
Elvera M. (Siebert) Huebert, age 93 of Henderson, NE died Friday, December 31, 2021 at Henderson. She was born November 23, 1928 in Lushton, NE to William P and Marie E (Friesen) Siebert. On August 10, 1948 she was married to Milton H Huebert in Henderson. Elvera loved gardening, baking, sewing, quilting and crocheting. She was a member of the Bethesda Mennonite church, where she was on many Mission Circles and on the Care Team. For many years, she was employed in the dietary department at the Henderson Nursing Home. Elvera’s life demonstrated a strong faith in Jesus.
She is survived by her children Sheryl (Jim) Leaman of State College, PA, Bonita (Norris) Kramer of Sutton, NE, Wanda (Rick) Rutter of Osceola, NE, Glenn (Jina) Huebert of Hampton, NE, LaDonna (Duane) Wedel of Moundridge, KS and Melanie (Jim) Cook of Wichita, KS. Her grandchildren include: Angela (Nathaniel) Henry of State College, PA, Jenelle (Robert) Stettler of Buford, GA, Brent (Jennifer) Kramer of Geneva, NE, Annthie Hinton of Lincoln, NE, Kaylee (Matt) Jennings of Broomfield, CO, Bryce (Chelsea) Kramer of Sutton, Brad (Hannah) Harford of St Ignacious, Montana, Sharla (Joe) Morlan of Omaha, NE, Nicole (Travis) Howard of St Francis, KS, Natalie (Cruz) Valadez of Wray, CO, Cami Huebert of Tuscaloosa, AL, Alise (Brian) Buckmaster of Ogallala, NE, Graysen (Abigail) Huebert of Henderson, Sonya (Tyler) Reed of Platte City, MO, Tenise (Brandon) Hall of Kansas City, MO, Connor Cook of Wichita, KS and Makenna Cook also of Wichita; and 40 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters: Ardeana Regier of Ogallala, Alvina Hofer of Freeman, S.D. and Lois (Roger) Kroeker of Austin, TX; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-laws Jenny Friesen of Henderson, Twila (Lauren) Penner of Heston, KS, John (Adeline) Huebert of Henderson, and Em (Joe) Pankratz of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Ronald Wayne Huebert, son-in-law Gail Harford, sisters Norma (Walt) Friesen and Lorene (Herman) Friesen, brothers-in-law Pete Regier, Gordon Hofer, Leo (Deloris) Huebert and sister-in-law Darlene (Bud) Steingard, brother-in-law Robert Friesen, sister-in-law Patricia (Tom) Dick, brother-in-law Harvey Huebert, sister-in-law Adeline Huebert, and brother-in-law Lester Huebert.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Bethesda Cemetery, northeast of Henderson. Elvera's graveside service will be streamed live on Metz Mortuary’s Facebook page. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Bethesda Livestream services or to the MCC Sales. Visitation will be held from 1-9:00 pm Monday with her family greeting friends later that evening from 6-8:00 pm at the mortuary in Henderson.
