Elizabeth Mae Anderson
Elizabeth Mae Anderson, age 83 of York, died Thursday, February 12, 2009 at York. She was born February 15, 1925 at Luzerne, IA to Chris Hans and Margaret E. (Jensen) Oehlerich. Elizabeth was united in marriage to Homer H. Anderson on May 22, 1953 at Reno, NV. She worked in several restaurants as manager and hostess and also did some catering. She enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family and friends.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Cyndi Bedient of York, siblings, Darlene Hoover of Sheffield Lake, OH, Bobby Oehlerich of York, Ruth (Albert) Beck of Belle Plaine, IA and Donnie (Kay) Oehlerich of Albert City, IA. Also surviving are six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, future baby Anderson and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and son Barry.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, February 16, 2009 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Mike Neidow officiating. Burial will be in the Arborville Cemetery, Polk, NE. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday and 1p.m. - 9 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday evening. Memorial donations may be directed to the family for later designation.
