Edna A. Babcock, 94, Geneva, former longtime York resident, died Friday (1/28/05), in Geneva. Born, York County (10/11/10), to John R. and Lillie (Gruber) Wessels. She married R.E. Hoover in York on Feb. 20, 1938; Elden died in 1970. She married S.L. "Sid" Babcock in York on July 7, 1971; he died in 1996. Longtime member: Emmanuel Lutheran Church, York, Green Thumb Garden Club, Greater York Area Genealogical Society.
Survivors: niece, Mary Jo Miller, York; nephew, spouse, Larry and Arlene Blair, York; stepchildren, spouse, Donna and Charles Brabec, Geneva, Vincent Babcock, Phoenix, Sidney H. Babcock, Omaha, William S. Babcock, New Orleans.
