Donald Morner
Donald E. Morner, age 81, was born Feb. 28, 1935 to Ewald and Edna (Ufflemann) Morner of Waco and passed away April 27, 2016.
When Don was 15, he met Charlotte who would go on to attend Waco High, Concordia High and Concordia Teachers’ College in Seward with him.
They married in 1956 and moved to California for his first call, teaching 1st - 3rd grade in Azusa. After three years, he accepted a call to teach, coach and direct children’s choirs at Trinity Lutheran in Santa Ana. The lives of many were touched during this time.
He is survived by two brothers, Kenneth (Jan) Morner and Dennis (Jackie) Morner and one sister, Barabara (Mike) Simpson; his wife, Charlotte of 59 years; his five children, Kathy (Cliff), Jenny (Pat), Shari (Murray), Kristy (Jim) and Tim (Leah); 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 at St. John’s Cemetery in Waco.
