Dennis D. Epp, age 97 of Henderson, NE died on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Aurora, NE. He was born July 21, 1924 in rural Henderson to Dietrich and Marie (Dueck) Epp. Dennis and Esther (Epp) were united in marriage on April 5, 1946 in Henderson, NE.
Dennis was a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church and the Henderson Volunteer Fire Department. He was a serviceman for Kansas Nebraska Natural Gas. He enjoyed fishing, especially with his grandchildren, and loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dennis is survived by his daughters Florence (Robert) Friesen of Henderson, NE and Kathleen (Galen) Friesen of Aurora, NE, grandchildren Evan (Kristen) Friesen of Hampton, NE, Erik (Corrine) Friesen of Henderson, NE, Kendra (Brian) Fast of Moundridge, KS, Gentry (Joy) Friesen of Aurora, NE, Gibbon (Brooke) Friesen of Hampton, NE, Keshae (Brett) Freese of Sutton, NE, eight great-granddaughters and eight great-grandsons.
He is also survived by his sister Jane Hershberger of Newton, KS, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Esther, sisters Eileen (Lester) Janzen, Geraldine (Alden) Friesen, brother Bob (Helen) Epp and brother-in-law Glen Hershberger.
Graveside services will be held at 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, September 8th, 2021, at the Bethesda Mennonite Cemetery north of Henderson. Memorial services will follow at 10:30 a.m., at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m., on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at the mortuary in Henderson. His family will greet friends and neighbors from 6-8 p.m. that same evening at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to the Bethesda Livestream Fund.
