Dean D. Buller
Dean D. Buller, age 87, of Henderson, died Friday, March 26, 2010 at Henderson.
He was born Feb. 10, 1923 in rural Rexford, Kan. to John and Dora (Doell) Buller. He was a graduate of Bradshaw High School. On June 3, 1945, Dean and Esther Evelyn Ediger were united in marriage at Henderson. Together, they farmed in the York County area until retirement.
Dean was also an auctioneer for 52 years. He was a member of the York County Commissioners for 16 years, a member of the State and National Auctioneers Association, and served on the Grace Children’s Home Board of Directors. He was a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. Dean also worked closely with MDS and the Nebraska MCC Sales and other states.
Left to cherish his memory are four sons, Burton (Mary Jean) Buller of McGaheysville, Va., Neal (Anita) Buller of Inman, Kan., Ardean (Julie) Buller and Kermit (Mary Beth) Buller of Henderson; ten grandchildren, Jacob Buller of Winnepeg, Manitoba Canada, John Buller of McGaheysville, Va., Kyle Buller of Inman, Kan., Joni Buller and Jeffrey Buller of Wichita, Kan., Michelle Buller of Lincoln, Chad (Leah) Buller of Omaha, Todd Buller and Christopher (Camille) Buller of Henderson, and Matthew Buller of Lincoln, Neb. Also surviving is one great-grandchild, Charlie Buller of Omaha.
Dean is also survived by a brother, Denzil Buller of of LeClaire, Iowa; sister, Mary Ann Rath of Aurora, Neb.; sisters-in-law, Adina Janzen of Fresno, Cali., Elfrieda (John) Hildebrandt of Fresno, Cali., Carol (Eugene) Friesen of New Hope, Minn., Edith Buller of Henderson, and Evelyn Buller of Aurora; and brother-in-law, Albert Thieszen of Henderson.
Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Evelyn, brothers, Grant Buller, and Dell Buller, sister, Jean Thieszen, sister-in-law, Ann Buller, and brother-in-law, Wayne Rath.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Mennonite Brethren Cemetery, Henderson. Memorial services will follow at 10:30 a.m., at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson with the Reverend Weldon Martens officiating. Visitation will be from 5-9 Monday and 9-9 Tuesday at Metz Mortuary, Henderson. The family will be present to greet friends from 7-8:30 Tuesday evening.
