Crystal Ratliff
Crystal Ratliff, age 32 of Lincoln, formerly of York, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2015 in her Lincoln residence. She was born April 21, 1982 at Hastings to John and Ramona (Miller) Ratliff.
Crystal was a talented artist, a gifted student, aspiring biologist, and was an Alpha Chi Honor Student at York College. Being around her friends and family, especially her nephew River, was very special to her. In addition to painting, camping was a favorite hobby and she loved being outdoors.
She is survived by the love of her life, Jacob J. Terrell of Lincoln; parents, John and Ramona Ratliff of York; her sister, Tracie C. Ratliff of Lincoln; her twin sister, Cheryl Ratliff of York and her nephew River Ratliff-Marti also of York. Also surviving are her aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her uncle Kirk Miller
Visitation begins after 1 p.m. Tuesday continuing on into Wednesday from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. with her family greeting friends later that evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
Funeral services are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 at the York College Prayer Chapel which is located between 8th and 10th Street off of Delaware Avenue in York. A coffee and dessert reception is to follow at the Miller Room upstairs in the Mackey Center on the York College Campus. Crystal preferred cremation to burial, so her wishes will be followed with a private family inurnment at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to Voices of Hope in Lincoln, the National Children’s Advocacy Center or to the Hope Crisis Center.
