Cody Gibson
Cody Lee (Critel) Gibson age 42 of York, NE., died suddenly Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in Lincoln, NE. He was born January 24, 1976 to Boyd and Rita (Spencer) Critel in York. Cody was self-employed within the transportation industry & enjoyed his work. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his children. He enjoyed car races, demo derby races, cooking, motorcycle rides, family trips & mountain air. His children were his greatest joy.
On September 1st, 2000 he married his high school sweetheart, Jessica Gibson. To this union, four wonderful children were born: Brian, Kaylee, Lilyan and Quinten.
Cody is survived by his wife and children, all of York and his beloved dog, Bruce. His mother Rita Critel, brother Dallas (Heidi) Critel, sister Stacy Shipps all of York, father-in-law, Steve (Dorothy) Gibson of Henderson, best friend, Bob Jensen of York and special niece, Shelby (Critel) Naber of McCool Jct., along with many other friends and family.
Cody was preceded in death by his father, Boyd Critel, mother-in-law Charlotte (Gibson) Doremus and his dog, Ruger.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 am., Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Metz Chapel in York. Private family inurnment at a later date. Memorials may be sent to his family for later designation. Cody gifted life to several families & will live on, through Nebraska Organ Recovery. He was cremated so there will be no viewing or visitation.
