Carol Jean Ourada
Carol Jean Ourada, age 71 of York, NE died Thursday, February 7, 2019 at York. She was born November 8, 1947 in rural Gresham, NE to Archie and Evelyn (Bushek) Dey. Carol graduated from Gresham High school and then was married to Kenneth L. Dickey on March 6, 1966. After their divorce, she was married to Vern Ourada on August 19, 2000 in York. A member of Emmanuel Lutheran church, she loved gardening, dancing to Polka music, fishing and playing cards. She was devoted to her family especially her grandchildren. Carol was a very hard worker, very witty and loved singing “Happy Birthday” to her family.
She is survived by her husband Vernon, daughter Brenda (Joe) Belfiore all of York and son Randy (Joi) Dickey of Grand Island, NE and step-son Micheal (Mary) Ourada of York.
Her grandchildren include; Keisha Dickey of Litchfield, NE, Nicole Belfiore of York, Logan Dickey of Grand Island, Jessica Belfiore of York and Zach Pistulka of Grand Island. Also surviving is her brother Dale Dey of Kalispell, MT and her faithful canine companion Roscoe. Nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Kenneth Daniel Dickey, her sister Jeanette Harman, brother Dannie Dey and her first husband Kenneth L. Dickey.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Metz Chapel in York with the Reverend Mike Neidow officiating. Burial will be in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8:00 p.m., on Sunday with her family greeting friends from 1-3:00 p.m., that same afternoon at the mortuary in York. Memorials may be directed to her family.
