Betty Radcliff
Betty Jane (B.J.) Radcliff was born on August 22, 1924 to Walter E and Laura E (Schoch) Melton on a family farm northeast of Benedict, NE. The Lord called her home on September 26, 2018 at the age of 94. She was the youngest of three children. She married Joe Radcliff on December 17, 1941.
She is survived by her children: Jerry (Carolyn Weidner) of Prescott, AZ; Cheryl Daniels (Ronald) of Weeki Wachee, FL; Steven (Jan Kujath) of Lincoln, NE; Susan Harris (Clifford) of Lincoln, NE and Jon (Marlene Block) of Littleton, CO; daughter -in-law Dora (Underwood) Radcliff of Castle Rock, CO; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brother-in- law Don (Geri) Radcliff of York; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Joe; son Douglas; and daughter-in-law Joan (Preston) Radcliff; brothers Maurice Melton and Howard Melton.
Her family was very special to her. She loved music and traveling. “Grieve not for my passing, but rejoice that I have lived.”
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery in York. Cremation. No visitation or viewing. Memorials to the Greenwood Cemetery in York, First United Methodist Church of York, or donor's choice in lieu of flowers.
