Ausma Marta Buda, age 97 of Stromsburg, NE died Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Stromsburg. She was born April 30, 1923 in Riga, Latvia to Juris and Anna I. (Biernis) Purins. On April 19, 1941 she was married to Janis Buda in Riga. Prior to coming to the United States she worked in England and Germany. Ausma came to York in 1951 and was employed at the Bell Clinic for over 33 years working as a Dr’s assistant.
She is survived by her daughter Aija Hughes, 2 grandchildren Ross Hughes and Maija Murphy, and her husband, Ben Murphy all of Pacifica, California. 2 Great grandchildren Kirri Murphy of San Francisco, California and Mikaela Murphy of Pacifica.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother Juris Purins.
Private inurnment will be held in Greenwood Cemetery in York. Memorials may be directed to the donor’s favorite charity. Ausma has been cremated so there will be no viewing or visitation.
