Loretta Wyatt
Loretta R. Wyatt, age 77 of Stromsburg, NE, formerly of York, died Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Stromsburg. She was born February 25, 1934 at Shelby, NE to Fred and Freda (Irmer) Siffring. Following high school graduation, Loretta was married to Roger L. Wyatt on April 20, 1952. Roger passed away on December 6, 1993. Loretta was employed at several different businesses during her lifetime including LT&T as a telephone operator, former owner/operator of the Snow Crème, and at the Sears store as a clerk. Until her retirement, she was the secretary at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church and school. Loretta was also part owner, along with her husband, of Wy-Ad Utility Contractors. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York, LWML, former president of the Mrs. Jaycees, and a member of the York Garden Club. She enjoyed embroidery, gardening, cooking and baking.
Left to cherish her memory is one son Doug Wyatt and his wife Kathy of Lincoln, NE; one daughter Susan and her husband Jay Leif of Benedict, NE; seven grandchildren, Ashley and her husband Brian Siegman of Omaha, NE, Taylor Wyatt and Tobin Wyatt of Lincoln, Ben Leif of Benedict, Brianna Leif of Lincoln, Lily Marsh and Ellie Marsh of Burbank, CA. Also surviving is a son-in-law Allen Marsh of Burbank, five sisters-in-law, Olive Siffring of Lincoln, Jan Siffring of Arizona, Carolyn Sebek of Bennet, NE, Betty Siffring of Pueblo, CO, and Jeannine Johnson of Mobile, AL.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, daughter, Lori Marsh, three brothers, and one sister.
Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2011 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Mike Neidow officiating. Inurnment will be at York’s Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. There was also a memorial service for Loretta at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Emmanuel-Faith Lutheran School or to the family.
