Elaine Wilson

Elaine Wilson age 90 of Norfolk, NE formerly of York, NE died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Norfolk. She was born October 11, 1919 at Smith Center, KS to Jay and Pearl (Irelan) Boston. The family later moved to Table Rock, NE where she attended school through the 8th grade. On March 12th 1939, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Wilson in Pawnee City, NE. Kenneth worked for the NPPD construction crew and they lived in several Nebraska communities before settling in Seward, NE in 1945. In 1970 they moved to York. Kenneth passed away in 1988. Elaine remained in York until 2006 when she moved to Norfolk to be near her son. Elaine was a member of the First Christian Church in York and belonged to the Christian Women’s Fellowship. She looked forward to making noodles every year with the church’s noodle making group. Her favorite pastimes were reading and crocheting.

Survivors include her son Ron and wife Louise of Norfolk; granddaughter Anissa Wilson of Omaha, NE; sisters, DeLoris Wagner of LaVista, NE and Lois Jensen of Fremont, NE. Also surviving is a sister-in-law Marie Boston of Fremont, NE. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; three sisters, Geneieve, Merna, and Lorna; four brothers, Delmar, Darrel, Ronald, and Robert; and many other family members and friends.
