Gwen Williamsen

Gwendolyn L. “Gwen” Williamsen, age 59, of York, NE, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at York. She was born June 4, 1952 in Omaha, NE to Glen and Betty (Landers) Harling. Gwen and William “Bill” Williamsen were married on March 14, 1970 in York. Gwen worked in York as a physical therapy aide. She was a member of the Great Plains Community Church in Goehner, NE and a member of Weight Watchers in York.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Williamsen of York; two sons, William Williamsen Jr.,and wife Antoinette of York and daughter Paige of Panama City, FL and Wesley Williamsen, wife Beth, and children, Wyatt, William, and Emily of York; daughter Shannon Horton, husband Alton and their children Jeff, Heather, and Jacob of Trinidad, TX;

Grandchildren, Brandon and Brett Minor, and Savanah Vincent; six great-grandchildren in Texas; mother Betty Harling, York, NE; sisters, Nancy (Vernon) Dumond of Redfield, AR, Stella (Tom) Mitchell of Orchard, CO, Janice (Larry) Manire of York, John (Faye) Harling of York, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are special friends Sandy Doremus of York, Angela Williamsen of Panama City, FL, and Laura Williamsen of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her father and step-daughter Michelle Vincent.

Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Great Plains Community church, 1155 May St., Goehner, NE with the Reverend Galen Skinner officiating. Inurnment was in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
