Elroy "Ike" Williamsen

Elroy J. (Ike) Williamsen, age 81, of York, NE, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at York. He was born on June 18, 1926 at York to James S. and Goldie R. (Gnauden) Williamsen. Ike was a heavy equipment operator in the York area for many years. He was loved by many and had a natural charm and charisma and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. His greatest joy was his family and friends and we all cherished him and will continue to cherish his memory.

Ike is survived by five children: Terry Lee Williamsen of North Bend, OR, Janice Jean Taylor of Coos Bay, OR, Jonelle Loftis of Fall Creek, OR, Timmy James Williamsen of Coos Bay. OR, and Judy Williamsen of Milford, IA. Also surviving is his sister Verla Branting of York, 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Margaret Williamsen, and two brothers Clifford and Walter Williamsen.

It was Ike’s wish to be cremated so there will be no viewing or visitation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held sometime in August.
