William Wiemer
William J. “Bill” Wiemer, age 68 of York, died Monday, May 16, 2005 at Omaha, NE. He was born on February 14, 1937 at rural Waco, NE to Ralph & Bernice (Hoffman) Wiemer. He was a veteran having served in the Army from December of 1960 to August of 1962. Bill was married to Janice Rieger on February 15, 1964 at Utica, NE.
Bill was employed at Geis Irrigation for several years before owning and operating Wiemer Roofing Co for over 30 years. He was a former member of the VFW in Lexington, NE enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, R.C. ‘Ralph’ (Sheri) Wiemer and Scott (Amy) Wiemer all of York; daughters, Jody Wiemer of York and Kristi (Jeff) Pinneo of McCool Jct.; seven grandchildren, Trey Wiemer of York, Sydney and Courtney Wiemer of York, Morgan, Maegan and Mitchel Pinneo of McCool Jct., and Shaylee Bellows of York; mother, Bernice Wiemer of York; mother-in-law, Vivian Rieger of Utica.
Also surviving is a sister, Elsie Ramsey of Annapolis, MD; five brothers, Leon Wiemer, Gary (Lois) Wiemer, and Gerald (Judy) Wiemer all of York, Robert (Sharon) Wiemer of Lincoln, and Randolf (Becky) Wiemer of Eagle, CO. He was preceded in death by his wife, father, father-in-law, infant brother, a brother-in-law, one nephew and an infant niece.
Funeral services were Friday May 20, 2005 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Tim Marshall officiating. Burial was in the Waco Cemetery.
