Eugene Wiemer

Eugene L. Wiemer age 51 of York, NE died Sunday, September 6, 2009 at home. He was born August 21, 1958 in Seward, NE to Harold and Eileen (Gocke) Wiemer. On February 22, 1980 Eugene was united in marriage to Sharon Folkerts at Seward.

Eugene was a Diesel mechanic for York Equipment for 31 years. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in York. Eugene enjoyed driving his tractors, loved his farm animals, and was also a collector of Budweiser Steins.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Sharon of York; three sons: Joshua Wiemer of Northglenn, CO; Seth (Brandy) Wiemer of Talihina, OK; and Lucas Wiemer and his special friend Caitlan of Lackland Air Force Base - San Antonio, TX.; brother Scott (Susan) Wiemer of Freeport, ME; and three sisters: Sherry Peeks of Waco, NE; Brenda Wiemer of Waco; and Becky (Jared) Solomon of Torrington, WY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Harold.

Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Faith Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Allen Bergstrazer officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Waco. No visitation as Mr. Wiemer has been cremated. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
