Rita Wellman

Rita Wellman, age 54, of York, NE, died Tuesday, December 07, 2010 at York. She was born August 13, 1956, at York, NE to Roy and Esther (Naber) Wellman. Following graduation from Centennial High School, Rita worked in several restaurants in Lincoln. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waco. Rita was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her father, Roy Wellman of Waco, NE; five brothers, Pastor Keith (Lillian) Wellman of Wauneta, NE, Eugene (Diane) Wellman of Rosemont, MN, David (Julie) Wellman of Waco, NE, Lowell (Carissa) Wellman of Waco, NE, and Phillip (Judy) Wellman of Kearney, NE; one sister, Diane (John) Hostler of Broomfield, CO; and special friend, Irene Wellman of York. She was preceded in death by her mother; brother, Dennis; and niece, Rebecca Wellman.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 11, 2010 at St. John Lutheran Church in Waco with the Reverend Paul T. Kern officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Bethesda Home for the Handicapped in Watertown, WI or MOSIAC.
