Beryl "Rex" Weber
Beryl “Rex” Weber, age 78 of McCool Jct., NE, died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at York. He was born December 28, 1930 in rural Bradshaw, NE to Christian and Eunice (Myers) Weber. Rex served in the Naval Air Reserves and was united in marriage to Ellen E. Myers on November 23, 1951 at York. He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in York. Rex was a lifelong York County farmer and following retirement, continued to help with harvest until this year. He enjoyed woodworking, carving, traveling and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish Rex’s memory is his wife Ellen of McCool Jct.; sons, Marvin (Becky) Weber of York, NE, Kenneth (Kristine) Weber of Gilbert, AZ, and Royce (Vicki) Weber of Beaver Lake, NE; daughter, Kris Ann (Michael) Sullivan of Kearney, NE. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Harmony Reece of Wahoo, NE, AnnDrea (Allen) Boe of Broomfield, CO, Lacy (Rich) Oosterhuis of Palm Desert, CA, Jeremy (Jory) Reece of Lincoln, NE, Landon Sullivan of Hartford, CT, Jason Buckner of Lincoln, NE, Lauryn (Mike) Griffith of Denver, CO, Ethan Weber of Beaver Lake, NE, Riley Weber of Beaver Lake, NE. Great-grandchildren include, Gracie Boe of Broomfield, Co, and Griffin Reece of Lincoln, NE.
Rex also has three surviving sisters, JoAnn Harry of York, NE, Darlene Watt of Fremont, NE, Natalie Weber of Castle Rock, CO and one brother-in-law Leland Bills of York. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, MaryLu Bills.
Memorial services were held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Terry Cosier officiating. Inurnment was in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Rex was cremated with no viewing or visitation. Memorials to the donor’s choice.
