Darlene Watt

Darlene Watt, age 85, of Fremont, NE, formerly of York, NE, died Monday, August 1, 2011 at Fremont. She was born May 17, 1926 at Bradshaw, NE to Chris and Eunice (Myers) Weber. Darlene and Dewain Watt were united in marriage on July 27, 1951 at Bradshaw, NE. Darlene worked for a number of years at the office of Dr. Boyd Burhoop in York. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in York, United Methodist Women, D.A.R., York Fun Club and the Friendship Club. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Deb Gartner of Fremont; grandsons, Michael Gartner of Wichita, KS and Christopher Gartner of Omaha, NE; two sisters, JoAnn Harry of York and Natalie Weber from Colorado; sister-in-law Ellen Weber of McCool Jct., NE; brother-in-law Leland Bills of York; nieces, nephews and friends. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Rex Weber, and sister Mary Lu Bills.

Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in York. Inurnment was in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the church or Adopt-A-Pet in York.
