Norma H. Waak

Norma H. Waak, age 93, of Bend, OR and former longtime York resident, died Thursday, September 09, 2004 at Bend. Norma was born December 6, 1910 near Polk, NE to Ernest and Minnie (Vogt) Niermann. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church at York and the LWML. On April 13, 1941 she was married to Earl Waak at York.

Survivors include her son Lonnie and his wife Marilyn Waak of Bend, OR; 2 grandsons ___ & ___; 2 sisters, Meta Heiden Bowman of Stromsburg and Ardens and her husband John Hoffman of Hold, MO; several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Earl in 1961, an infant son and 4 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at 2:00 pm at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Rev. Tim Marshall officiating. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at Polk.
