Leone Tracy

Leone Tracy age 81 of York, NE formerly of Bradshaw, died Sunday, August 10, 2008 at York. She was born July 3, 1927 at Bradshaw to Vern C. and Mabel (Whitfield) Brumbaugh. Leone was an active member of the Bradshaw United Methodist Church serving as the long time choir director. She was past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star at Hampton, NE, enjoyed gardening, her grandsons and family. She also enjoyed singing for weddings and funerals. Leone was a tax preparer for many years in the Bradshaw area and was on the Plainfield Cemetery Board for many years. She especially loved helping Howard work on the family farm. On February 23, 1947 she was married to Howard F. Tracy at Bradshaw.

She is survived by her daughter Linda and her husband David Kreifels of York, Her grandchildren include Tony and his wife Michelle Kreifels of York, Adam and his wife Haili Kreifels of Hot Springs, ARK and Aric and his wife Renee Kreifels of York. Great grandchildren include Tea’, Elle, Laney and Rachel Kreifels all of York and Zoe, Raima and Isaiah Kreifels of Hot Springs, ARK. Also surviving are two brothers, Clifford and his wife Dixie Brumbaugh of Peoria Heights, ILL and Cody and his wife Judy Brumbaugh of Hampton, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Bradshaw United Methodist Church with burial in the Plainfield Cemetery west of Bradshaw. Memorials may be directed to the Bradshaw United Methodist church or to the York College Music Department.
