Howard Tracy

Howard F. Tracy age 84 of York, NE, formerly a longtime Bradshaw, NE area resident, died Thursday, May 17, 2007 at York. He was born April 23, 1923 at rural Bradshaw to Bryce D. and Amelia (Opitz) Tracy. Howard was a 1940 graduate of York High School and was married to Leone Brumbaugh on February 23, 1947. He farmed in the Bradshaw area until his retirement and was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Bradshaw. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in York, loved fishing with his grandkids and loved his Allis Chalmers Tractors.

He is survived by his wife Leone of York; one daughter Linda and her husband David Kreifels of Bradshaw; three grandchildren Tony Kreifels and his wife Michelle of York, Adam Kreifels and his wife Haili of Hot Springs AK and Aric Kreifels and his wife Renee of York; six great-grandchildren, Tea, Elle, Laney and Rachel Kreifels all of York and Zoe and Raima Kreifels of Hot Springs; a sister Margaret and her husband Ord Noll of Columbus, NE. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and four brothers.

Funeral services were May 21, 2007 at the Bradshaw United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jim Corson officiating. Burial will be in the Plainfield Cemetery west of Bradshaw. Memorials may be directed to the Bradshaw United Methodist Church or the donor’s choice.
