Gayle Towle

Gayle Frances Towle, age 70 of York, NE died Friday, March 23, 2007 at York. She was born on the family farm on July 22, 1936 in Merrick County, Nebraska to Lynn and Frances (Burger) Moomey. She was married to Philip E. Towle on February 3, 1956 at Denver. CO. Gayle was a homemaker but also worked as a para-professional at the York Middle School for some time. She also worked as a Residential Direct Support Associate at Mosaic in York where she enjoyed working with and helping her clients . She was a member of the Baptist Congregational Church in York and was a member of Grace Chapter O.E.S. in York, Daughters of the Nile in Lincoln and was a Job’s Daughters Honored Queen. She enjoyed music of all kinds and loved to sing. She was an avid card player and especially loved spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren.

Gayle is survived by her husband Phil of York, one son Tom Towle and his wife Marsha of Seward, NE; daughter Betsy and her husband Ron Winquest of York; two brothers, Bill Moomey and his wife Sandy and Don and his wife Judy all from Arizona; five grandchildren, Trevor Towle and his wife Christine, T.J Towle and Kyle Towle and his fiancé Riassa Hrdlicka all from Seward, Michael Winquest, Morgan and Mallory Winquest all of York and three great-grandchildren, Lilly, Conner and Hunter Towle of Seward. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at the Baptist Congregational Church in York with the Reverend Christine Ahmose officiating. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery, York. Memorials may be directed to Adopt-A-Pet or Mosaic.
