Delta Terrill

Delta M. Terrill, age 101 of York, died Friday, December 09, 2005 at Fairmont, NE. She was born October 26, 1904 at Waco, NE. to Ernest and Ethel (Carroll) Lyle. She was a 1924 graduate of Waco High School and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waco. Delta was married to Alvin Kaltenborn on March 14, 1931. He died in 1951. On January 20, 1953 she was married to John Terrill at Grand Island, NE. Delta lived in Exeter until moving to York in 1972. While in Exeter she worked at Dr. Leggett’s office. She was a member of the United Methodist Women in Waco, Exeter and York, the Rebecca Lodge of York and the OES at Friend, NE. Delta enjoyed flowers, visiting with friends and playing cards. She is survived by 2 stepsons, Robert (Alice) Terrill of Lincoln and Ray (Lillian) Terrill of Grand Island; 3 stepdaughters, Helen Lutz of Gillette, WY., Shirley Starr of Fairmont and Bonnie Bahe of Lincoln; 14 step-grandchildren; 34 step-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is also survived by her special friends, Allen & Sharon Brackhan of York. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, a stepdaughter and 3 step-sons-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church in York with the Reverends Charles Bailey and Jeff Wulf officiating. Interment will be in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Mortuary. Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
