DeAnna Teaford

DeAnna M. Teaford age 69 of Fairmont, NE died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Henderson. She was born June 9, 1938 at rural Lushton, NE to Wayne A. and Susan “Susie” (Isaac) Ronne. DeAnna graduated from McCool Jct High School in 1955 and then attended Kearney State College. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in York and the United Methodist Women. DeAnna was a volunteer foster grandmother at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in York as well. On November 8, 1959 she was married to Kenneth D. Teaford at Lushton, NE.

She is survived by her three daughters, Lori Teaford of Lincoln, NE, Deb and her husband Don Durre also of Lincoln and Nancy and her husband P.J. O’Connor of Fairmont. Her grandchildren include Donley and Dana Durre of Lincoln and Derek and Tyler O’Connor of Fairmont. Also surviving are two sisters Delores Swartz of Fairmont and Dorothy “Dots” and her husband Bill Jacobsen of McCool Jct. Her brothers and sisters –in-law include Joan and her husband Chuck Jacobsen and Tommy White all of McCool Jct. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth, a sister Donna Clark, a brother-in -law Marvin Swartz and sister-in-law Jean White.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in York with the Reverend Art Phillips officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in York with memorials being directed to Epworth Village or to the First United Methodist Church in York.
