Doris Sutter

Doris A. Sutter, age 88, of York, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at York. She was born October 25, 1921 at Diller, NE to John and Grace (Hiatt) Thompson. Doris was a graduate of Beatrice High School. On September 3, 1941, Doris and William Sutter were united in marriage at Beatrice. Doris was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in York.

She is survived by three sons: William Sutter Jr. and his wife Peggy of York, Robert Sutter of Columbia, MO, and David Sutter and his wife Rebecca of Midland, TX. Doris also leaves behind ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister.

Memorial services were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church in York with the Reverend Mike Eickhoff officiating. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the York General Hearthstone.
