Charles Stuhr

Charles Edgar Stuhr, age 60 of Waco, NE died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Grand Island, NE. He was born February 25, 1949 at York, NE to Edgar C. and June E. (Kruse) Stuhr. He was a 1967 graduate of Waco High School and went on to graduate from SECC in Milford, NE. Charles was a member of the Army National Guard from 1970-1976. He worked as a carpenter at Mead Lumber and at as a metal fabricator at Kroy Industries, both in York, as well as Even Temp at Waco.

He is survived by his mother June Stuhr of Waco, NE; brother Hollis (Karen) Stuhr of Waco; daughter Tasha Pfenning and her children Kamryn and Dalton all of Waverly, NE. Also surviving are many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Timothy.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2009 at the Metz Chapel in York. As it was Charles’ wish to be cremated, there will be no viewing or visitation. The family will, however, remain after the services to visit with friends. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
