Edna Stover

Edna J. Foster Green Stover age 95 of York, NE died Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at York. She was born on January 16, 1910 in Fairmont, NE to Ambrose J. and LaDora (Plock) Foster. She was married to Wilber J. Green in August, 1928. He died in December, 1950. Two children were born to this union, W. Dale and Patricia. In 1960 she was married to Willis E. Stover. Edna worked at the York State Bank for several years and in the early sixties was the co-owner of a children’s clothing store “The Lilipution.” She is survived by her son Dale (Lorraine) Green of McCool Jct. and her daughter, Patricia R. Smith of Arlington, TX; six grandchildren, Craig Smith of Arlington, Pam & Dan John of Miller, NE, Terri & Lynn Hoffschneider of York, Stan & Carla Green of York, Marty & DeAnn Green of Copperas Cove, TX, Chris & Becky Green of McCool Jct.; sixteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Wilber J. Green & Willis E. Stover; six brothers, Burton, Carl, John, Albert, Eddie and Charles Foster; three sisters, Clara Jay, Pat Welch and Flossie Sack; one great-granddaughter Kerriona Green.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Saturday August 27, 2005 at the Metz Chapel in York. Interment will be at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, McCool Jct. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to Blue Valley Community Action of York.
