Dorothy Sterup

Dorothy Lou Sterup, age 85, of York, NE died Monday, December 19, 2011 at York. She was born May 12, 1926 at Stromsburg, NE to James T. and Lula Belle (Renquist) Ferris. She graduated from Stromsburg High School and was united in marriage to Armond Dale Sterup on September 26, 1948 at Stromsburg. Dorothy Lou worked as a key punch operator at Robert Shaw Controls in southern California. She was a member of the O.E.S. Star, Stromsburg Chapter and enjoyed Ti Chi, water aerobics, singing and playing backgammon.

Dorothy Lou is survived by her husband Dale of York; daughter Christine Sterup Miller of York; granddaughter Andrea Maile Sterup Milnes of Denver, CO; nieces; nephews; and cousins. Preceding her in death were her parents and sister, Phyllis Hartman.

There were no services, viewing, or visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family.
