Kathryn Stauber

Kathryn Elizabeth Stauber age 95 of York, NE died Friday, November 2, 2007 at York. She was born August 23, 1912 at Hebron, NE to John and Sarah “Izetta” (Brown) Willmore and graduated from Hebron High School in 1915. Kathryn was a schoolteacher for a while before becoming a dental hygienist. She was also employed at the Blue Valley Community Action in Hebron for a number of years as well. Kathryn enjoyed playing bridge, antique shopping, attending garage sales and gardening. She was later involved with the York Welcome Wagon and various bible study groups too. On November 24, 1930 she was married to Robert Merle Stauber at Hebron.

She is survived by two sons Robert (Bud) and his wife Marquita Stauber of Longmont CO and Jerry Stauber of York. One daughter Dr Marilyn Smith of Houston, TX; 9 Grandchildren;and 22 Great Grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Joyce and her husband Bill Ortman of Hebron and a former daughter in law Yvonne Stauber of York. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, her son Bill, three brothers Max, Don and Dick, and two sisters Edith and Barbara.

Funeral services were Monday, November 5, 2007 at the Metz Chapel in York. Graveside services were at the Rosehill Cemetery north of Hebron. Memorials may be directed to the Epworth Village in York.
