Rosemary Stahr

Rosemary Stahr age 60 of York, NE died Saturday, February 10, 2007 at York. She was born September 7, 1946 at Winner, S.D. to James and Marge (Vosika) Lyons and graduated from Pius Catholic High School at Lincoln in 1964. Rosemary was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York and was a full time soccer mom as she was very active in the York Puma Soccer League and was a director of the Yorkfest Soccer Tournament for 10 years. She enjoyed crosswords, playing cards and was a surrogate mother to many local children. On December 28, 1968 she was married to Orval Stahr at Lincoln, NE.

She is survived by her husband Orval of York, three sons, Jason and his wife Sharon Stahr of Gretna, NE, Joshua and his wife Ginger Stahr of Omaha and Jordan Stahr of York, and a daughter Jessica Stahr of York. Her parents James and Marge Lyons of Lincoln; Grandchildren include Christy and her husband Scott Rine of Bellevue, NE, Sarah Foster and Casey Freyer of Papillion, NE, Victoria Stahr, Alyssa Stahr and Jadyn Stahr all of Gretna, NE. Noah Joseph Stahr and Brinley Boston Stahr both of Omaha; Great Grandchildren, McKinzie Rine and Keegan Rine both of Bellevue and Alexis Freyer of Papillion. Also surviving is a brother Randall and his wife Diana Lyons of Lincoln and two sisters, Roxann and her husband Thomas Sattler and Renee and her husband Bill Stephenson all of Lincoln. In laws include John and Donna Stahr of Surprise, AZ, a brother in law Jim and Barbara Stahr of York and a sister in law Jean and John Roehrs of Scottsdale, AZ. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in York with Father Mark Tasler officiating. Burial was in St Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Cornerstone Sports Complex in York.
