Betty Stahr

Betty J. Stahr age 83, of York, NE, died Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at York. She was born June 26, 1923 at York to Leo and Hazel (Conner) Lottes. Betty was married to Vernon C. Stahr on September 20, 1940 in Grand Island, NE. Vernon and Betty farmed in the York area for many years. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Bonnie and her husband Robert A. Heiden of York, Nancy and her husband Jerry Dulitz of Kearney, NE and Carol Schuessler of Indio, CA; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joann Slezak of Waco, NE, Lucille and her husband Dwight Flick of Thayer, NE, Joyce and her husband Max Fuller of Gresham, NE and Carolyn and her husband Helmuth Stahr of Grand Island; brother-in-law John and his wife Donna Stahr of Surprise, AZ; sister-in-law Donna Lottes of Sacramento, CA.; several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, sister Dorothy Wray, brothers, Leo “Bud” Lottes and John “Jack” Lottes.

Funeral services were held September 23, 2006 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Tim Marshall officiating. Interment was at York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to The Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York.
