Arnold Siebert
Arnold F. Siebert, age 88 of Henderson, Nebraska, died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Lincoln, Nebraska. He was born August 22, 1923 to John P. and Elizabeth (Friesen) Siebert at rural Lushton, Nebraska.
Arnold attended Henderson High School and Bethesda Bible School. He was a lifelong farmer in the Henderson area. On October 11, 1944, he was united in marriage to Marie Quiring in Henderson. Arnold was an active member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson, where he sang in a quartet for over 40 years and was also involved in the church care group. Arnold was also active with the Gideons and Meals-On-Wheels.
Arnold is survived by his wife Marie of Henderson; son Dennis (Tanya) Siebert of Mountain Lake, MN; four daughters: Elaine (Art) Tozier of Hesston, KS, Sandra Tucker of Corbett, OR; Wanda (Rick) Stauffer of Lincoln, NE; and Joan (Alan) Entz of Newton, KS; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers: Levi (Irene) Siebert of Colorado and Allen (Avis) Siebert of Lincoln; and four sisters: Esther (Pete) Epp of Henderson, Selma Goertzen of Henderson, Rachel (Harold) Fast of Fresno, CA; and Elsie Friesen of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Gary Tucker, daughter-in-law Gail Siebert, and two brothers: Almon (Erma) Siebert and Walter Siebert.
Graveside services were held at 9:45 AM, Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Siebert Buller Cemetery southeast
of Henderson with Memorial services following at 10:30 AM at Bethesda Mennonite Church, Henderson, with
Pastor Jim Voth officiating. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be directed to the Gideons International
or the Bethesda Radio Fund.
