Arlin Siebert

Arlin Siebert age 84 of Henderson, NE died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Henderson. He was born September 5, 1925 in Hamilton County, NE to Aaron and Margaret (Friesen) Siebert and was a longtime Henderson area farmer. A member of the Bethesda Mennonite church he enjoyed farming, a good cup of coffee, loved his grandchildren and going on long drives. On August 22, 1950 he was married to Janice Friesen at Henderson.

He is survived by his wife Janice of Henderson, two sons Myron and his wife Kathy Siebert and Larry and his wife Jeannie Siebert all of Henderson. Two daughters, Janelle and her husband Robert Goding of Omaha and Brenda and her husband Cal Friesen of Henderson. His grandchildren include Jason and his wife Amber Siebert of Henderson. Jennifer Siebert of York, Joel Siebert of New York, N.Y. Nicholas Goding of St Louis, MO, Lindsey Goding of Omaha, Zachary and his wife Jill Friesen of Ralston, NE, Tracy and her husband Bruce Cady of Omaha, Jamie Siebert, Rick Siebert both of Henderson. Great Grandchildren include Delaney Siebert, Cassidy Siebert and Kaden Siebert all of Henderson. Also surviving is his sister LeOra and her husband John A. Friesen of Henderson. A brother in law Albert and his wife Jennie Kliewer of Henderson and his mother in law Gladys Friesen of Henderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers, Elton in infancy and his brother Wilmer, his sister Rachel Kliewer, sister in law Margie Siebert, his two nephews Greg Siebert and Allen Friesen, a niece April Friesen and his father in law Herman I. Friesen.

Committal services were held at 9:00 a.m, Monday, January 18, 2010 at the Metz Chapel in Henderson with the Reverends Jim Voth and Weldon Martens officiating. Burial was in the Bethesda Cemetery to be followed by Memorial services at 10:00 a.m. at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. Memorials may be directed to the Henderson Health Care Services or to the Bethesda Radio Broadcast.
